Job Description:

An Interactive Hub Operator is responsible for setting up all audio, video and computer requirements at their venue. They work most often in meeting venues but may also work outdoors. Travel to Yukon communities will be required. Interactive Hub Operators generally work as independent contractors.

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Prepare Sound Equipment

    Interactive Hub Operators are responsible for setting up any required sound and video equipment for hybrid/virtual events. This may include connecting a TV to a laptop, with microphones, audio lines, and speakers. They must also assist with testing all the equipment and learn to use it as well. They will be responsible for monitoring the local sound levels and video quality for local participants.

    Operate Equipment

    All equipment is supplied and managed internally by Gunta Business, however the Interactive Hub Operator will be required to set-up / take down and operate all required equipment.

    Provide Customer Service

    A large part of the Audio Technician’s job is ensuring clients are happy, both with the local sound and video quality, and with the setup and process itself. It is vital that Interactive Hub Operators develop good rapport with clients.

Qualifications for Interactive Hub Operator:

  • A successful Interactive Hub Operator has a an interest in supporting public participation with engagement and technology while enjoys being friendly. In addition to these traits, employers look for applicants with the following skillsets.

    Core skills:

    • Basic knowledge of computer systems, both PCs and Apple

    • Knowledge of basic sound (speaker with microphone)

    • Laptop (macbook pro and dell) and camera equipment

    • Technical aptitude
