Specializing in Business Planning, Renewable Energy, Community Engagement, Virtual/Hybrid Event Services, and Project Management, Gunta has excelled since 2012 in the Yukon. Awarded Top Indigenous Business of the Year 2021 and the Yukon Innovation Prize 2021, Gunta thrives even through adversity, notably pivoting to become the premier provider of virtual/hybrid event services in northern Canada during the pandemic. Blair's foresight and leadership drive Gunta's success, embracing technology for community empowerment and sustainable growth.
Jessie Stephen, BA - Co-owner, Director of Operations
Jessie is a White River First Nation member born and raised in Yukon. With a strong background in project management, Jessie has shared her expertise with a diverse range of organizations, including Yukon First Nations, the Yukon Government, local corporations, and not-for-profit entities. Her professional journey has encompassed various roles and projects, including Ministerial Advisor for Minister McLean, Associate Producer for Adäka Cultural Festival, KDCC Events Manager, community engagement, and language revitalization. As one of the co-founders of Gúnta Business, Jessie has successfully executed numerous projects, accumulating a wealth of experience, resources, and insight.
Stephanie Penikett, Project Manager
Stephanie Penikett, a proud member of the White River First Nation, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role as a Project Manager. With a strong background in event planning and consulting, Stephanie has amassed extensive experience through her involvement in various Yukon-based projects.
Her portfolio includes leading community engagement initiatives, facilitating on-the-land cultural and healing camps, contributing to language revitalization efforts, and working on projects spanning tourism, health, and reconciliation. Additionally, Stephanie has collaborated with top hospitality groups in British Columbia, further honing her skills and expertise.
